They removed all the old ductwork this morning along with our furnace in preparation for relocating it. We have no central heat, but they were kind enough to leave us with a couple of nice space heaters that work surprisingly well. The basement seems SO BIG with everything opened up.
Our dumpster delivery didn't go so well today. Our driveway is 8'5" wide and the dumpster is 8' wide so the person we ordered from thought it would fit. Turns out the 8' refers to the "interior" dimensions and doesn't include some bolts along the side. It came within a couple inches of fitting, but no go. So we ordered a 7' wide one from Home Depot tonight, but it will be more expensive and won't be here until sometime Wednesday. Also, both Daniel and Darcy have the flu and my brother and I are having back trouble so we haven't gotten any further on the kitchen demo than emptying most of the cabinets. I think we'll have to get some of it torn apart tomorrow because the duct guys need to run a line up to the second floor through a wall. Should be an interesting day.
